6V Glow Plug (12V system) - Land Cruiser BJ60 & BJ70 3B engine - 19850-68050 / 19850-68051

Glow Plug 6V for 12V BJ60s, & 12v BJ70s that were sold in Canada with the Super-Glow system from 1982-on.

For use with 12V electrical systems with Super Glow only

Note: Glow plugs should be replaced as set, and not individually, to maintain system resistance values so the Super Glow system will work properly and to prevent a cascade failure from over-volting your remaining glow plugs.

Make sure your glow system connections are shiny clean, free from dirt, oil, corrosion, and they are solid.

Please ensure your second stage (post glow) resistor is working properly and not short-circuited or burned out. A burned out second stage resistor will mean you are not getting any post-glow and you will experience hard starts, rough running, and smoke while the engine is warming up.

Current inventory is HKT, Japan. I have tested these for durability in my shop with both 12V and 6V power being applied and they held up very well.

If you want to replace the stock 6V Super Glow system in your 12V Land Cruiser with a manual push-button (aka "Wilson switch"), you should run these 10.5V glow plugs instead of 6V plugs to prevent rapid burn out.
