Genuine Toyota head bolt set for late model L series engines including the 2LT-II 2LTE, 3L.
These are a Torque to Yield head bolt and it is our opinion that these head bolts should not be re-used, as the the TTY process brings them close to their yield point during the cylinder head tightening process.
The bolts must not exceed: 107mm (short bolt) 127mm (long bolt)
Torque in 3 even steps to 58 Ft.Lbs, then +90o & +90o Follow the factory service manual closely.
The best head bolt lubricant, available at automotive parts stores, is ARP Ultra Torque as it provides a much more consistent and even torque.
