Seal, Transmission Output x Transfer Case Input - Land Cruiser Split Transfer Case

This seal is 2-sided - meaning that it seals equally from both directions to prevent oil from leaving the transfer case and going into the transmission, as well as leaving the transfer case and entering the transfer case (in models where there's oil on both sides, like with the H55F 5 speed). In R151F and similar transmissions, many of the automatics, there is no oil in the adapter housing between the transmission and transfer case.

This seal is generally used on Land Cruiser split transfer cases from the mid-1980s on, around the time the 38mm counter shaft appeared.

Lubricate the seal's lips and tension springs generously with grease prior to installation.
