Thermostat - Toyota 3B, 13BT, 2H, 12HT - 88C/190F

This is the 88C version of the 13BT & 3B thermostat, also fits 2H, 12HT

Note: DO NOT confuse the Diesel thermostats and the Gasoline engine thermostats as found on the F & 2F Toyota engines. They are very different in appearance and function even though they will fit. If you are using the wrong thermostat the engine temperature will not be moderated correctly, and your heater will not work.

The listings at ALL of the local parts stores in Canada and the USA are incorrect for these units when searching by a diesel application. Stant Listings are wrong. Stant does not provide a diesel thermostat such as this one.

Note 2: Thermostat temperature ratings are the temperature at which the thermostat starts to open. It is not the temperature at which you cooling system will operate, and will not be the temperature you will see if you vehicle has a temperature gauge; many other factors affect engine operating temperature.
